Many of those who resigned their jobs in 2021 & 2022, turned to Freelance and gig work or opened a small business. While I strongly encourage everyone to have a “side hustle” or hobby that allows them to earn extra income, I can only wonder when employers will recognize that if allowed to take some time off work without fear of loosing their job, many employees would return refreshed or with new skills when an employer offers a Sabbatical.
